Position Description

Business Process Analysts apply an in-depth knowledge of the agency's program areas to define and implement a solution to a given problem that requires an individually tailored response for end-user requirements.

The incumbent provides customer service and support to staff and customers both internal and external. This position operates as our agency’s IT help desk providing both technical and professional guidance in relation to our network, computers, databases, servers, and other standard office equipment. In-depth knowledge of Microsoft office, Publisher, SQL, databases and information technology systems.  Ability to understand the State's budget system and records management system. This position is responsible for all software/hardware maintenance, upgrades, and replacement as required agency wide.  This position oversees and is responsible for the maintenance of the servers and networks for the agency, maintenance, and replacement of the backups.  This position is the point of contact for EITS.  This position will be the ISO, prepare contracts and reports as required, setup/terminate/update employee accounts as required.  This position will be required to train and assist agency staff with their computers and software.  This position is the system administrator for our agency's database.  This position also manages and updates the agency website.

Advancement to the Business Process Analyst 2 will require completion of a probationary period of 1 year and satisfactory performance reviews.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in business, public administration, management information systems, or other disciplines related to the assignment and one year of professional experience analyzing and interpreting program laws, regulations, policies and procedures, which included experience applying recognized data processing concepts to business process planning and analyses; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience as described above.
