Position Description

This is a Grants & Projects Analyst 2 position with the Nevada Arts Council located in Carson City, Nevada. The incumbent's primary duties will include managing the federal grant from the National Endowment for the Arts and the statewide sub-granting program of the Nevada Arts Council. Duties will also include coordinating the requirements for and submitting the grant applications and final reporting data for the National Endowment for the Arts Partnership Grant, ensuring the proper functionality, usability and accuracy of the data input into the Nevada Arts Council grants management system, maintaining records and files, composing and editing correspondence to grant applicants and recipients, responding to constituent inquires, analyzing data, reviewing and processing grant applications, preparing year-end financial and statistical reports to ensure Federal compliance, collaborating with Nevada Arts Council board and staff on edits and reviews of each grant offering and performing related duties as assigned. This Incumbent will assure that the Nevada Arts Council grant program appropriately and effectively provides critical financial resources to the citizens of the state. The Grants and Project Analyst supervises the Grants Program Assistant.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in public or business administration, accounting, finance or related field and two years of professional grants experience which includes at least two of the following areas: writing grant applications; determining grant/subgrant program eligibility; researching, writing and implementing grant program plans; managing fiscal aspects of grants/subgrants; providing technical assistance to grant/subgrant recipients; and/or monitoring and ensuring grant/subgrant recipient compliance; OR graduation from high school or equivalent education and four years of professional grants experience which includes at least two of the areas as described above; OR one year of experience as a Grants & Projects Analyst I in Nevada State service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience as described above.
