Job Title:  IT PROFESSIONAL 3-APPLICATION DEVELOPMENT

We are looking for a passionate professional to join our Development team to fill the position of IT Professional III located in our Las Vegas, Nevada office. Candidates will provide maintenance and support for our internal taxpayer management system, reporting and correspondence, nightly job maintenance, and special projects as directed by leadership and legislative measures.  Candidates should be excellent verbal and written communicators capable of accessing user feedback and system requirements to make technical recommendations and produce technical documentation to aid in future development and knowledge transfer. Candidates should also be capable multi-taskers with analytical and troubleshooting skills needed to devise solutions to be coded, tested, and documented to improve existing software for a highly data-driven legacy system.

* Knowledge of PL/SQL & SQL is highly desired however a strong understanding of RDBMS systems and its key concepts is acceptable. * Knowledge of Oracle Forms and Reports is also desired but not required * Additional experience with COBOL, ETL’s, Version Control Systems such as Git, and Microsoft Azure cloud services is also a plus. * Experience working in an Agile development environment and using management tools such as Jira or similar is also desired but not necessary.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in computer science, management information systems, or closely related field and three years of progressively responsible professional IT experience relevant to the duties of the position which may include computer operations, systems administration, network administration, database administration, applications analyst and development, and/or information security, one year of which was at the journey level; OR one year of relevant experience as an IT Professional II in Nevada State service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience as described above.
