Position Description
Incumbents perform in a trainee capacity and acquire the knowledge, skills and abilities required in this occupation. Conservation Aids assist professional staff in a variety of projects involving the conservation and preservation of the State's natural resources.
These 3-month seasonal positions are responsible for maintaining, in a safe and aesthetically pleasing manner, all property, equipment, structures and other public use facilities on various WMAs across the State. The employee must be familiar with wetland management strategies, the principles of plant succession and be able to identify the most common and important plant species found on the WMAs. The person in this position will also monitor the satisfaction level of the users of the area and respond in a manner that will strive to address those interests while also protecting the interests of the Nevada Department of Wildlife and other resource management agencies. The positions will be recruited at all levels - Conservation Aid 1, Conservation Aid 2, and Conservation Aid 3.

Minimum Qualifications
Graduation from high school or equivalent education.
