Position Description

Clinical Social Workers provide clinical services to clients/inmates in a residential, home, inpatient, outpatient, rehabilitation, correctional or similar setting.

This position is located with Northern Nevada Adult Mental Health Services (NNAMHS) in Sparks, NV. The incumbent will serve as a first line supervisor for professional staff. Supervisory duties include performance evaluations, training, assigning, reviewing work, counseling and discipline. This position requires a working knowledge of community and family system approaches to treating individuals with mental illness and supervisory principles and practices.

Clinical Social Worker 3's function as first-line supervisors who train, supervise and evaluate the performance of assigned staff; assign and review work; and initiate disciplinary action OR function as managers who train, supervise and evaluate the performance of subordinate supervisors; develop policies and procedures; and allocate staff and resources to accomplish goals and objectives according to the needs of the hiring agency.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Licensure as a Clinical Social Worker by the Board of Examiners for Social Workers, and one year of post-licensure experience in a clinical setting.
